New for 2023! The Montgomery Kennel Club will be hosting a scent work trial February 18 and 19, 2023 at Montgomery Motor Speedway on Booth Road in Montgomery! <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Two concurrent trials on Saturday, February 18 and one trial on Sunday, February 19<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entry limits are 125 per judge, per day<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Check in will begin at 7:30 AM daily… Handlers’ Briefing at 8:15, first dog to follow<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Here we will post updates about the trial, information from the premium, and any new things leading up to the trials. During the trial, we will be posting about what is happening that day, photos of the dogs, and other relevant sniffy things. Random Draw<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

There is no rush to express mail your entry as there will be a Random Draw for participants. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Entries for the Random Draw will be taken from December 1, 2022 until January 23, 2023 at 4:00 PM CST at Montgomery Kennel Club, PO Box 464, Wetumpka AL 36092. The draw will take place January 23, 2023 at Cornus Kennels in Wetumpka, AL at 6:00 PM CST. Envelopes received prior to the opening date shall be treated as an invalid entry and shall be returned to the sender. Please, only ONE DOG\/ONE HANDLER per envelope. Note: FedEx does not deliver to a post office box. Entries close on February 1, 2023 at 4:00 PM CST after which time entries can not be be accepted, canceled, altered, or substituted except as provided for in Chapter 11, Section 6 of the Rules Applying to Dog Shows.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Volunteering at the Scent Work Trial<\/h2>\n\n\n\n

No trial is possible without volunteers.  If you would like to volunteer at the MKC Scent Work trial, please complete the Volunteer Sign Up form below and check off “Scent Work Trial Volunteer” and then select what interests you the most to volunteer. We are very happy to train anyone for their jobs if they want to try something new!<\/p>\n\n\n\n

If you plan to enter the trial, we have a great incentive to offer you! We have chosen to exempt up to ten spots from the Random Draw and save them for approved volunteers, and you can either enter via online here as a volunteer or complete the Volunteer Sign Up included with the premium. All approved volunteers will run first during searches.  Lunch will be provided for volunteers who help with the trial a minimum of four hours each day that they help.  You do not have to be entered in the trial to volunteer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
